ODU LAMTAC Lamella Contact Technology
Description
ODU LAMTAC lamella contact technology — a proprietary socket contact design using a ring of multiple spring-loaded lamella (thin metal strips) that wrap around the mating pin to create multiple simultaneous contact points. Rated to 2,000A+ in high-current configurations. >10,000 mating cycles. Standard gold or silver plating; custom surface finishes available. Operating range up to +300°C in special versions. The multi-point lamella contact achieves extremely low contact resistance, high current capacity, and excellent heat dissipation versus a conventional single-contact spring-pin socket. Used in ODU-MAC Power connectors, EV fast-charging contacts, industrial motor drive connections, and nuclear/harsh environment applications where thermal performance is critical.
