ODU SPRINGTAC Spring-Wire Contact Technology
Description
ODU SPRINGTAC spring-wire contact technology — a proprietary socket contact using a coil of spring wire wound inside the socket bore to create multiple simultaneous contact points along the entire insertion length of the mating pin. >100,000 mating cycles. 2,000A+ in large configurations. -40°C to +125°C. Exceptional vibration and shock resistance due to the compliant spring coil geometry. The distributed multi-point contact of SPRINGTAC provides lower contact resistance than single-contact sockets and maintains low resistance through the full insertion travel. Used in the ODU-MAC Silver-Line (10M cycle docking), AMC circular connectors, and any application requiring extreme cycle life or high vibration resistance.
